Pantone Color of the Year 2020 Classic Blue: Ferragamo SS2020

๐๐š๐ง๐ญ๐จ๐ง๐ž ๐‚๐จ๐ฅ๐จ๐ซ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐˜๐ž๐š๐ซ ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ: ๐‚๐ฅ๐š๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐œ ๐๐ฅ๐ฎ๐žโ  I'll be honest, at first, I was underwhelmed. But once I started to think about it, I realized ๐‚๐ฅ๐š๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐œ ๐๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ž is the perfect color to start a new decade as important as this one. โ

Blue symbolizes peace, tranquility, wisdom, stability and trust. Commercially, ๐‚๐ฅ๐š๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐œ ๐๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ž is one of the most saleable colors across all seasons and product categories. (Clearly a strategic choice by Pantone!) ๐Ÿ˜œโ

So the challenge is this - how do you make this "classic" color look fresh and new? When I look back on my Spring 2020 runway research, I find Paul Andrew's collection for Salvatore Ferragamo to be the most helpful. Blue is clearly the statement hue, but the supporting colors in each look are what really make it pop! (My personal fav is combo #4 ๐‚๐ฅ๐š๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐œ ๐๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ž+Tan) ๐Ÿ’โ
