To Dye For?

While I do LOVE color, most textiles are synthetically dyed which has a massive impact on the planet and human health. See the link in bio for some shocking images of how our clothes are made and the below excerpt from @theguardian:

"Wastewater discharges from denim washing factories in Xintang straight into the local river, which in turn flows into the Pearl River delta... Greenpeace testing found five heavy metals (cadmium, chromium, mercury, lead, and copper) in 17 out of 21 samples taken in two towns. In one sample, cadmium exceeded China's national limits by 128 times."

The takeaway? Think twice before buying a new pair of jeans.
